Born and raised in Chicago, his first exposure to radio was as a kid listening to legendary powerhouse AM's WLS and WCFL during their heyday in the mid-to-late '60's. Rod began his radio advertising career in 1973 at WFMB-FM in Springfield, Illinois. He moved to Winona, MN in June 1974, where he was the top-billing salesman at KAGE AM-FM. In September 1979 he came to Radio Palouse, where he has been our sales manager ever since.

A student of advertising, marketing and sales for over three decades, Rod has helped create some of the most memorable and effective advertising for local businesses in the Palouse. In 2004, a commercial he created for Keeney Bros. Music Centers won the prestigious national Radio-Mercury Awards top prize ($5000) for radio station-produced advertising. In addition to his work on advertising campaigns for local businesses and others, Rod is responsible for launching both the annual Palouse Empire Home & Garden EXPO and the popular local free classified advertising service, PalouseAds.com.

Mike began his advertising career in August 1987. He's been with KQQQ/KHTR since November 1987. During this time Mike has worked with a variety of businesses in marketing and promoting their products and services.

In 1995 he received his Radio Marketing Master after completion of an extensive advanced advertising training program. Mike has attended many advertising seminars, with the most recent one being in Atlantic City, NJ in 2003 to learn from Roy Williams, author of the "Wizard of Ads." In addition, the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) Today keeps him informed with daily tips so he can better help his clients achieve their advertising goals.
